Cerebit To Present At Florida Venture Forum
Tampa software start-up selected from 210 applicants
TAMPA (Jan. 6, 2004) – Cerebit (www.cerebit.com), an innovator of application security and compliance software, today announced its selection from approximately 210 applicants to present at the Florida Venture Forum Jan. 22 in Orlando. This invitation-only event provides the opportunity for 21 of Florida's best prospects for equity financing to make presentations to an audience of venture capitalists, investment bankers, financial intermediaries and entrepreneurs.
“We are honored to be a presenting company,” said Mark Swanson, CEO of Cerebit, which began operations seven months ago. “When you consider the fact that this forum typically only considers later stage companies, it reinforces our belief that we are well positioned in the market.” Unlike other security software that targets outside intruders from hacking into a company’s computer system, Cerebit’s proprietary software enables companies in the financial services, government, health care and other industries to safeguard business critical information from misuse by authorized users.
The Florida Venture Forum, Inc. is Florida's premier statewide support group for venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. As an entrepreneurial networking group, the Forum educates entrepreneurs and assists them in identifying sources of venture capital. The group hosts Florida’s only statewide later-stage Venture Capital Conference which, has pumped millions of dollars in venture capital into Florida-based companies over the last decade.
