With innerMask companies can compartmentalize or mask sensitive information in electronic documents based on specific criteria. It is a powerful tool for controlling who can access and view specific information -- and when.

innerMask allows information sharing in an environment where people have different roles or security clearances. To ensure maximum protection, sensitive or "controlled" documents should be shareable among the group with a strictly enforced policy that allows only the permitted portions to be visible for viewing for any specific individual or group.

innerMask allows users to circulate information in a secure compartmentalized form outside the organization. It can also expire the data at a specified date and time after it has left the enterprise.

Beyond masking of specific data elements innerMask allows companies to send information in an electronic envelope that can only be opened when proper approval has been issued either instantly, upon receipt, or at some designated time in the future.

By ensuring that groups and individuals view only the information that they are allowed to see when they are allowed to see it, companies avoid regulatory fines, lawsuits, lost business, public embarrassment or damage to their reputation.

Supported Formats

innerMask works with tagged and schema-based information to enforce compartmentalization. Examples of tagged information include XML, EDI, HTML, and RTF. With schema-based information compartments can be defined based on database columns.
